These Terms govern membership of the Association at every level. Acceptance is a condition of application; breaches may lead to suspension or revocation.
These Terms govern membership of the Arab Association of Student Recruitment Agencies (AASRA). References to “the Association” mean AASRA; references to “Member” mean any agency admitted to membership at any level. Acceptance of these Terms is a condition of application, and membership constitutes acceptance of the version of the Terms in force at that time, as amended from time to time by the Association’s governing bodies.
Membership is open to student recruitment agencies that are legally registered in their country of operation, hold a verifiable trading record, and are sponsored or endorsed as required by the Association. Applicants must designate an account administrator authorised to act on the agency’s behalf. AASRA may request any document reasonably required to establish eligibility, including company registration certificates and professional references.
All applications are subject to verification by AASRA. Submission of an application does not create any right to membership, and the Association is not obliged to give reasons for declining an application. Applicants undertake that all information and documents supplied during the application are true, complete and current, and undertake to notify AASRA promptly of any material change.
The Association admits members at three levels: Member, Approved Member and Accredited Member. Levels cannot be skipped. Member status begins upon acceptance and payment of the annual fee. Approved Member status follows verification at no additional fee and is not a separate paid subscription. Accredited Member status is open only to Approved Members, requires a quality review, and carries an additional annual fee. The Association may revise requirements, benefits and fees, with changes taking effect at the next renewal.
The annual membership fee is due on submission of the application and thereafter on each renewal date. Fees are quoted in US dollars and are non-refundable once an application has been processed, except where the Association determines otherwise. Membership lapses if a renewal fee remains unpaid after the renewal date, and lapsed members cease to be entitled to use any AASRA seal, certificate or title.
Members may use the AASRA name, seal, certificate and level titles only at the level currently held, only for the period of validity, and only in the manner prescribed by the Association. Misrepresentation of level, status or endorsement — including presenting Approved or Accredited status before it is granted — is a serious breach of these Terms and of the Code of Ethics.
Members comply with the AASRA Code of Ethics at all times, including its standards on honest advice, transparent fees, document integrity, student protection, data protection and professional competence. Members maintain a documented complaints procedure and cooperate fully with AASRA reviews, investigations and quality audits.
The Association may suspend or revoke membership, in whole or in part, where a Member breaches these Terms or the Code of Ethics, supplies false or misleading information, fails verification or quality review, or where revocation is recommended by the Accreditation & Ethics Commission. Suspension or revocation takes effect on notice, and withdrawn seals and titles must be removed from all materials immediately. A Member may resign by written notice; fees already paid are not refunded.
Membership does not create a partnership, agency or employment relationship with AASRA or with the Association of Arab Universities, and does not constitute a guarantee of any individual student outcome. AASRA’s verification and accreditation describe the Member’s standing with the Association only.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Association accepts no liability for any loss arising from a Member’s dealings with students, institutions or third parties, or from reliance on Association publications or directory entries. Each Member remains solely responsible for its own professional conduct and legal obligations in every jurisdiction in which it operates.
The Association may amend these Terms, the Code of Ethics, membership requirements and fees. Material amendments are notified to members in advance and take effect from the date stated in the notice. Continued membership after that date constitutes acceptance. Matters not covered by these Terms are determined by the Association’s governing bodies, whose decisions are final.
